Dr. Barbara Pacholec

Diplomate and Board Certified by the American Board of Bariatric Medicine. Over 20 years experience with diet, exercise and pharmacologic weight loss programs. At Central Pasco Weight Loss Center, Dr. Barbara Pacholec welcomes you to her practice specializing in weight management, obesity-related illness and nutrition in Lutz, Florida just north of Tampa.

Education

Dr. Pacholec majored in chemistry, foods and nutrition at Douglass College of Rutgers University. She has always loved health, nutrition and the sciences. She graduated with her M.D. degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- Rutgers Medical School, Piscataway, New Jersey.

Bariatric Medicine

It differs from basic commercial weight loss programs. Each patient is fully evaluated by the M.D. at each and every visit. Programs are tailored and changed according to the needs and progress of each patient. Patients are screened for insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, thyroid and adrenal disorders as well as many other health conditions and diseases.

In January 2008, I began Dr. Pacholec’s weight loss center, this was required by my health insurance to qualify for weight loss surgery.
